Metal Rabbit brings JOHNNY GOT HIS GUN to London – 24/12/13

Metal Rabbit will be producing the UK premiere of JOHNNY GOT HIS GUN in London in 2014. Based on the classic novel by Oscar-winning screenwriter Dalton Trumbo, this adaptation by Bradley Rand Smith won an Obie in New York and has toured all around the world.

When the call came, idealistic Joe Bonham eagerly volunteered for the trenches of World War One . Now he has paid a price he never expected, and far away from his  American homeland he struggles to come to terms with what his world has become. As his grip on reality becomes ever more tenuous he reflects on the true nature of war and the choices he made.

This is a brutal, intense show with an incredibly powerful message about the cruelty of war and the way the military treats those who suffer in its service. Starring Jack Holden (WAR HORSE) and directed by David Mercatali, who this year won a Fringe First Award, JOHNNY GOT HIS GUN is the perfect play to mark the centenary of World War One.

Dates to follow soon.
